About the author: an Egyptian writer and thinker. He graduated from the Faculty of Law, Cairo University in 1955. He obtained a master’s and doctorate from the University of London. He held the position of Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University from 1965-1974. He worked as an economic advisor to the Kuwait Fund for Development from 1974-1978, then as a visiting professor of economics at University of California from 1978-1979 Professor of Economics at the American University in Cairo from 1979 until now. Thinker Dr. Jalal Amin won the Sultan Al Owais Prize in the field of human and future studies 2009
